Workshop with Ericsson – Tangible Interaction, fall 2014
WhatSopp is a knife you bring along when you hunt for the treasures of the forest, mushrooms! WhatSopp will guide you through the forest bottom by lighting up a green light for a mushroom you can eat or a red for one you can’t when you are about to pick it. It saves your location to make sure that you can find your way back next year.
When returning home WhatSopp uploads all the information from your trip to your computer. This gives you an overview of what you have found and where you have found it.
WhatSopp makes it safe and maintain the engagement in picking mushrooms.
Tangible Interaction, fall 2014
This is Roberto. He is a curious little robot. He likes to move around with his wheels and legs and to wave and knock with his hands and gloves. Roberto remembers how to use the different limbs, but you need to help this little robot to do this by changing his parts.
With this toy children can emerge in to an imaginative world. With a face with only eyes children can project their own feelings on to Roberto while playing with him. Even though he hasn’t any ability to express his feelings he is brought to life by moving around and waving his arms. The children will get his full attention by changing his
peripherals and experience that he is changing his behaviour.
We made an instructable on how to use an electret microphone with Arduino:
This is a small project done in the Tangible Interaction master course this fall.
Long distance friendships often consist of sporadic and intermittent communication. The conversation is more than often centered around superficial, but interesting, details like the weather. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to have a closer, and more personal relationship with the situation your friends are experiencing?
Introducing Link, a shower accessory that connects directly to your friends location, and gives you the chance to experience the rain just like they are. Either to gloat or to give your sympathy, Link allows you to easily send them a Facebook message to notify them that you are having a shower with the exact amount of rain they are currently experiencing.
